This page says in plain words what simche keeps about you and why.
What we keep
- Your phone number and name, to sign you in and show you to your family.
- What your family adds: simchas, dates, places, notes, children's names and birthdays, family members and their phone numbers.
- Your answers (coming / not coming) and your settings.
- Texts and calls your family sends through the app, and whether they arrived.
- Basic technical logs (time, IP address) to keep the service safe. We keep them for up to 30 days.
Who can see it
Only the members of your family. Each family is kept separate. Family admins choose who is in the family. We do not sell your data, we show no ads and we do not use it to train anything.
Texts and calls
We text you a code to sign in. We only send texts or calls to other people when a family admin presses Send. Anyone can reply STOP to stop all texts from us.
Cookies
One cookie keeps you signed in. No tracking cookies.
Where it is kept
On our server in Toronto, Canada. Texts and calls go through our phone provider. Backups are kept for 14 days.
Your choices
You can download all your data or delete your account at any time in the app (Settings, then Account). When you delete your account we remove your name, phone number, answers and settings. Simchas you added stay with your family.
Children
The app is for adults. Children's names and birthdays are added by their parents.
